I want to start by saying thank you to Dave Lozinak and the Lozinak family for the support and the trust in the program in being a representative of the Curve family. Also a big thank you to all the current and former Curve Juniors and their families who excepted that responsibility with great pride. Finally a big thank you to Coach Mel Kepner, Coach Andy Bagley, Coach Johnny Wilson, Coach Mark Helsel, and all the Coaches who gave of their time to the program.
We have always tried to be more than just a baseball program. We tried to instill great character and teach all to be great young men. When we started the program 14 years ago, one of our mottos that came from Rob Bruno from NorCal was, “ you will be a person a lot longer than a baseball player”. With that in mind, we did our best to help parents raise their son to be great young men.
I have been coaching since 1977, making plenty of sacrifices and missing family events.
My plan is to continue the winter academies but retire from summer travel baseball and fall ball.
I have decided it is time, with 8 grandchildren ( 1 more on the way), that I devote as much of my time left to my family.
Again, a sincere thank you to all who have helped me on this journey and helped make it a huge success,
