About Curve Juniors Spring Training Academy, Leagues, Curve JuniorsTournament Teams

Curve Junior Baseball    First and foremost, the program is a player development organization for players who love baseball and aspire to be the best they can be. Players must be coachable and show a willingness to listen, learn, and implement the techniques they are taught. The program is a competitive program, meaning the Fall Ball season and the Spring Training Academy’s will be the tryouts to determine which players will be invited for the summer league and travel tournament program.  When selecting players, the coaches look for athletic ability and baseball skills. Players must also demonstrate outstanding character, hustle, leadership, positve attitude and a burning desire to be the best they can possibly be. They must exude a "team first" mentality and be excellent teamates. These characteristics are all very important attributes and must haves to play in this organization.

Curve Junior Spring Training Academy (January, February, March, April) Open to all players.  Players receive outstanding instruction and the most updated techniques on hitting, fielding, throwing, sports performance.  The academy will also serve as the try-outs for our leagues and tournament teams.  For more information on our Curve Junior Spring Training click on announcement page.

Curve Junior Development League (May, June, July)(16u / 10th grade and under league)  This is a development league that will allow the staff to continue the developement of each player, and on how the game should be played.  This league will also serve as a try-out for the Curve Juniors tournament teams. 

The Curve Junior organization is possible through a cooperative effort with the Altoona Curve, the AA affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates (www.AltoonaCurve.com

Curve Junior Tournament Teams (June, July, August) Players will have an opportunity to showcase their talents at regional tournaments. Teams will be playing in tournaments in PA, Ohio, VA, W. Va., DE, NY and NJ.  Curve Junior players receive excellent training on baseball skills, as well as how to become a Mid-Atlantic Canes player and college or professional prospect. Curve Junior Instructional Fall Ball (September, October) Open to all players. Players receive outstanding instruction and on how to play the game.  Players practice by positions which allows the coaching staff to develope each players baseball skills on a individual basis.  The instructional fall ball will also serve as try-outs for the following years program.
